Welcome to the Deerfield Academy Dining Hall Nutrition page! This page is designed to help you understand the nutritional value of the foods you eat and to help you meet your nutritional goals while at Deerfield.

Finding nutritional information:

  1. To find the nutritional information for an item, check the box next to that item and click on “Item Nutrition.” You may also simply hover over an item and the nutritional information will appear.
  2. To find the nutritional information for an entire meal, select each item that you plan to eat or drink and click on “Add Items” to add them to your meal. When you have added all of the items in your meal click on “Meal Nutrition” to find out the nutritional information for your entire meal.

Finding allergen information:

Each item that contains an allergen will have that allergen’s symbol next to its name. You can also choose to exclude all items containing a particular allergen by checking the box next to the allergen in the column on the right hand side of the screen.

Disclaimer:

The Deerfield Academy Dining Hall attempts to make all allergen and nutritional information on this page as accurate as possible. However, variations may occur due to a manufacturer’s changes, substitutions, recipe revisions, and for other reasons. All information is approximate and should be used only as a guide. It should not be used as a substitute for advice from a medical professional.

While every attempt is made to avoid cross-contact in our food preparation, our kitchen and serving lines are not allergen-free and cross-contact with potential allergens is possible. Fryers are used to prepare many kinds of food and thus no fried food should be considered allergen-free. It is ultimately the responsibility of the consumer as to whether to question the ingredients of an item or to eat selected foods.
